The Community:

Search of Orange County was founded in 1973 as a young adult retreat and leadership formation program for the Diocese of Orange. Most Searchers are Catholics in their 20's and 30's, although there are many non-Catholics as well as some Searchers who remain active in the community well into their 60's. Search is a place to make lasting friendships with otheryoung adults who are on their walk of faith with Jesus Christ. We invite all young adults, 18 years of age and older, to take full advantage of all that the Search community has to offer.

Fellowship:

Search has a program of events every Wednesday evening designed to enrich our individual faith walk as well as to build and nurture the community of Christian relationships. Most meetings are held at Marywood Center in Orange, California. Some of the activities include: guest speakers, Mass, Praise and Worship and Social activities. The SEARCH Weekend

Search of Orange County offers a weekend spiritual encounter that features inspirational talks, sharing with other young adults, prayer, music, Masses,humor, and many other exciting and challenging activities. This unique weekend is probably unlike any other retreat you may have already experienced. The Search weekend is a wonderful opportunity to gain a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a deeper understanding of Catholicism, of one-self, and to come into fellowship with other young adults. You must be at least 18 years old To attend a Search weekend.

Community Service:

Search's members are involved in a wide range of community services within their parishes and throughout Southern California. These projects include: retreats and programs at Juvenile Hall, Soup Kitchens, homeless shelters, clothing drives and other charities.

Social Outings:

Search tries to balance the spiritual and the social activities by organizing movie nights, concerts, sporting events, beach trips, miniature golf, hikes, campouts, bowling, broom-ball, pizza and game night, dances and other events.

Bible Studies/Prayer Meetings:

Bible study and prayer groups organized and hosted by a variety of members of the Search community are available at several locations throughout the county and surrounding areas.
